Longer: Ravenscrag Slip is a silty low iron clay, it applies evenly, drains drip-free, dries hard, does not settle. Mixed with water alone, makes a nice semi-matte cone 10 clear glaze. Add 20% frit 3134 for a cone 6 glossy base. Use as base, add colorants, opacifiers, variegators. Use as an underlayer for vibrancy in fluid glazes without associated running. Use multilayers on green or bisque without crawling or cracking. Stable and reliable with a 100-year supply available.
